For Earth Day 2025, Grace Cathedral brought back 2 climate artworks to celebrate the earth.

These two temporary works were originally created in 2017 and 2018. In this iteration, they are installed simultaneously to mark the critical importance of protecting and restoring the health of our planet and to foster hope and action.

“Earth Windows” is created with the iconic NASA photograph of the earth taken from space. Printed on two banners, the beautiful “blue marble”, precious home to us all, beams from the Rose Window.

“Sky Steps” is made from a local photograph of sky over Bryan’s backyard. She printed the image on 32 paper strips which were glued to the risers by a group of volunteers and friends with reversible wheat paste.
